Prototypes:

Rapid prototyping can speed up the design process.  A prototype can aid in determining proper fit and function of components that will go into your product and assist in pointing out areas that need to be modified in data bases before they ever reach the final design of the mold.  The expense of a prototype can be a significant cost savings when compared to changing features in a mold.
